Malon was born and raised in Stockton, Ca, and attended Lincoln Highschool. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he was a member of the prestigious Honors College. While studying at UNLV he found an intense passion for real estate and investing, which inspired him to transfer to Califonia State University, Sacramento to finish his Bachelor’s Degree as a part of their Finance, Real Estate, and Land Use program. He then went on to study at the University of Georgetown in the Master of Real Estate Program. During this time Malon was fully involved in real estate working as a residential real estate agent as well as project management and land use consultant for New Faze Development. Malon has assisted countless investors purchase and sell investment properties across the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. He also worked on over $100 million worth of development while working at New Faze. He developed financial analysis as well as led the project feasibility study for several projects. In addition to this, he located multiple properties to be used in future projects. This developed his ability to discern project feasibility and read through zoning regulations in order to determine the highest and best use for a parcel of land. Mr. Hughes’ vision of equitable development has led Hughes Success to align itself to improve the quality and stigma around affordable housing. He believes that by providing greater access to necessities like grocery stores, employment, and healthcare, we can change the trajectory for BIPOC communities and begin to align them with success. By implementing new and untraditional techniques, he aims to find the use for every piece of land that best benefits the community surrounding it.
